week 6

I created the sphere, looked on the internet and clicked on the images to see if it match the colour of my eyes. Unfortunately they do not match so saved the image.

I went into the photoshop and opened the file to add colour of the eyes and returned to 3D Max. Clicked on to the material editor, used bitmap, then open file where I highlighted the eye and moved it on the sphere, copied the other eye and moved it to my face.

The front looked good but when circulate it, I realised the eyes are too far back..

Ohhh, I will sort it later.

bald really suit me!!! is'nt it

week 6

3)

After created the ear, I used bit vertex to change the texture to make it look smooth and I am happy with all the progress.

2)

1)

The next step is to merge the ears to the head with vertex pull down to touch use by snap-toggle and then angle snap-toggle to clip the head-neck and face together and edit the ploy, click the attach and clip the ear by pressing the attached button next to symmetry and move match same as side.

Next stage is UVW map.

week 6- EAR

2)

1)

i paint red and blue my ear on photoshop. it was really useful for 3d max

I have created the 2D poly of the front view of my face into 3D.

To do this, I pulled the points out of the ear and pulled them into the relation of the side view picture. I Right-clicked the object properties, then clicked "see-through". Then click turbosmooth

This step was easy to do and to my surprised I was very happy with the outcome!!

WEEK 5

4)

3)

2)

1)

I paint red on my side head on photoshop

I created a sphere head which was scaled down to a size where my head fit in the picture.

I then erased one half of the sphere and pulled the image out from the head to the neck.

Once it was finished, the image was not what I expected. So I decided to remove the figure and try again which I had done so three times until I was satisfied with it.

The next step will be creating the ears.

week 5

I have created a nosetail and lip. The lip area is difficult to modify as my lips are very narrow. It looked ok but I feel I can improve which I will do at a later stage.

I then added the symmetry modifier to create the other side of the face.

I used a turbosmooth modifier to smooth the mesh out.

To finish this stage off, I spent some time adjusting the vertices to improve the contours of my face; I blow the mesh of the face which set it off nicely and allowing me to proceed to the next stage in head modelling.

week 4

I have vertices the nose and eye browns. I found this difficult and I added the symmetry modifier on the other side of the face Then applied the turbosmooth modifier to smooth the mesh out. So far I am happy with this. My next stage will be the nose tail and mouth

I tried to turn the 2D poly of the front view of my face into 3D.
This pulled the points out on the face and see how far to pull them in relation to the side view picture.

Again this was challenging as I can't see what behind my face. I decided to right-click the object properties, then click "see-through" and press OK.

It looked better and easier to see and very useful for pulling out.

WEEK 4

When I finished applying the lines on my face I then added the box on the face, then click editable ploy.

When I clicked attach list and apply all. It appeared with too many of my two faces on ploy. I thought what is it???

I returned to the beginning and start again. The same thing happened again. I then decided to go back try again. It repeated yet again. This started to annoy me!!!

I then had enough but later I calmed down and tried again, only this time I concentrated carefully on what I was doing. I clicked the attach check the list then I saw two plane on the list. I realised there’s no click on two plane then ok then go back right one at last!!!!!!.

It’s not easy, you have very careful where you click all or check on the list before you click ok!!!
Beware!!!

WEEK 3

This progress went well, until I tried to flip it. To my dissapointment, the pictures created two same images which as it should come out the opposite. This repeated a few times until the error was recognised. The error was not using the "instance" to copy. Once this was amended, the images came out as above.

  • modify-uvw map-bitmap-open file-setup- collapsed layer-OK-open

  • uvw map-gimzo to (right-click) move to one face

  • right-click- clone- copy "plane 2")-rotate to (right-click) move to right side

  • U tiles=tick on flip uvw map-gimzo- (right-click) move to one side face
